The Hexagon Absolute Arm V3P 8525 7-Axis is a high-precision portable coordinate measuring machine (CMM) from the 85 Series, combining tactile probing with 3D laser scanning.

With a 2.5 m measuring range (2.98 m max reach), it offers an optimal balance of reach and accuracy. Compared to the 83 Series, it delivers higher precision for applications with tight tolerances, such as aerospace, automotive, and tooling.

The 7-axis configuration enables efficient use of laser scanners for fast data capture in inspection, reverse engineering, and CAD comparison. The system supports quick switching between scanning and probing without recalibration. A modular scanner can be removed for tight areas.

Absolute Encoder technology eliminates warm-up and referencing, ensuring immediate and consistent performance. Carbon-fiber construction provides rigidity and thermal stability.

The Zero-G counterbalance system improves ergonomics and reduces operator fatigue during extended use.
