The Hexagon Absolute Arm V3P 8740 7-Axis is a premium portable coordinate measuring machine (CMM) from the 87 Series, designed for ultra-high accuracy probing and 3D laser scanning.
With a 4.0 m measuring range (4.48 m max reach), it combines extended reach with top-level precision. It is ideal for large, complex components in aerospace, automotive, and heavy industry.
The 7-axis configuration enables efficient use of laser scanners for fast data capture in inspection, reverse engineering, and CAD comparison. Compared to the 83 and 85 Series, it delivers superior accuracy. The system supports quick switching between scanning and probing without recalibration. A modular scanner can be removed for tight areas.
Absolute Encoder technology eliminates warm-up and referencing, ensuring immediate and consistent performance. Carbon-fiber construction provides rigidity and thermal stability in demanding environments.
The Zero-G counterbalance system improves ergonomics and reduces operator fatigue during extended use.
